Just had to let everyone know – my photo, Eye To Eye With A Frog, was just published in Digital Photo Magazine. It’s the bestselling photo magazine in the UK, so I’m pretty excited about it!

Maybe a better title would be Toad-to-Toad LOL (Provided, of course, it IS a toad and not a frog.)

I’ve lived rurally all my life and have a great love for critters of every type. Where my photographing falls short is in getting face shots, where the animal is looking directly at me. How did you get the frog in your picture to cooperate? For 2013, I resolve to save up for a very good camera with a telescopic lens. This morning I encountered a bald eagle, and watched him swoop along the river, looking for an open spot. Then he settled high in a bare tree. With my relatively cheap digital camera, I now have a photo of a nice tree with a dark blob on a branch…

Your pics are super. I know how hard it is sometimes to get just the right
time and place. I used to watch my husband take picturs. I was his worst critic.
